MEET OUR STAFF

Addie-WilliamsAddie  has been a chiropractic assistant for five years. Originally she worked in several fitness clubs as both a manager and a personal trainer.

“It became very evident to me that even among the employees in most fitness clubs, that the focus was not really on health at all. In fact, sometimes in these clubs the focus was quite the opposite. I felt like the focus on health that I wanted from my career was not going to be met working in places like these.”

In July of 2006, Addie visited a friend of hers who worked for a chiropractic clinic in Woodstock. The clinic there was having a Patient Appreciation Day.

“I was given a gift certificate to receive x-rays and an exam for free. To be completely honest, I did it to be nice to a friend,” Addie says. “I really had no intention of pursuing any kind of treatment though the clinic.

“After my exam and x-rays were complete I had a consultation with the doctor and he began to explain to me, very clearly, how chiropractic worked. I was shown my x-rays and the doctor explained how every injury we receive, even the small ones when we’re young, can cause some long lasting effects if not cared for properly.

“After hearing this, I realized that chiropractic just made sense.”

Within a month Addie started a part-time job at the clinic. Of her time there, she relates that “very quickly I had become very passionate about chiropractic and I wanted to continue a career in this field.”

Addie later enrolled in the Georgia Chiropractic Association’s Advanced Chiropractic Assistant course. She graduated as valedictorian and also received an honorary award as the student who best represented chiropractic in the eyes of the students in her class.

Currently living in Woodstock, Georgia, she works along side with Dr. Steve Goninan at Integrity Chiropractic. She looks forward to continuing to introduce new people to the healing power of chiropractic care.
